PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical probe adaptable to special light observation even while reducing the number of photodetectors. SOLUTION: The medical probe includes: a light guide means for guiding prescribed pulsed light and emitting it to an object; a first optical fiber on which reflected pulsed light from the object illuminated by the pulsed light is made incident; a plurality of wavelength selection means disposed at different positions in the light guide path of the first optical fiber so as to impart a different optical path difference for each wavelength to the reflected pulsed light, for reflecting the visible reflected pulsed light of the wavelength of a visible light region different from each other to a light source side; and a second optical fiber on which the visible reflected pulsed light reflected to the light source side is made incident. Reflected special pulsed light which is made to reach the terminating end of the first optical fiber and corresponds to the wavelength suited to the special light observation is outputted to a first photodetection means, and the visible reflected pulsed light which is guided by the second optical fiber and made to reach the terminating end is outputted to a second photodetection means.
