PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical engine capable of obtaining power with high heat efficiency. SOLUTION: When crank angle of a heating cylinder 20A reaches a predetermined crank angle before the top dead center, a control section 19 drives a movable mirror 18A to incline a reflecting surface thereof, and incidence of the sunlight through a window of the heating cylinder 20A is started. At this point, when gas inside a gas sealed chamber is heated by a light absorber and swelled and a piston of the heating cylinder 20 moves toward the bottom dead center, an intermittent mechanism fixes a piston of a cooling cylinder 22A at the top dead center.
