PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To employ a configuration allowing a surplus of a liquid gasket to overflow from a joint and to prevent the overflowing part of the liquid gasket from dropping into a container. SOLUTION: Joint portions of a cylinder block 2 and an oil pan 4 are sealed with the liquid gasket 6. A second flange 5 of the oil pan 4 is provided with a storage part receiving the surplus of the liquid gasket 6. The storage is formed of a plurality of concave grooves 13 extending into the joint 12 from an end edge of the second flange 5 at the joint 12 on an inner side of the oil pan.
