<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and smoothly supply a container while surely preventing the biting of the container. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This container supply device includes, at least, an idling roller provided in a space formed between the end of the guide face of a side guide and the peripheral face of a star wheel where the roller is allowed to be moved forward and backward relative to the peripheral face of the star wheel, and a spring for energizing the idling roller to the approaching direction of the star wheel. The device further includes a biting preventing device for storing the passage of the container in a peripheral groove by the idling of the idling roller and the resilient backward movement of the idling roller.
