PURPOSE: A method for screening a material having activity of preventing or treating osteoporosis is provided to suppress activation of DRG2(developmentally regulated GTP-binding protein) and to detect candidate material which is able to reduce DRG2 expression level. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material having activity of preventing or treating osteoporosis comprises: a step of treating candidate material to a protein having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1; a step of measuring protein activation change; and a step of selecting the material which reduces protein activation. The protein activation change is performed by GPT-binding analysis. A monoclonal antibody having activity of preventing or treating osteoporosis recognizes specificity of a protein having amino acid sequence of sequence number 1.
