<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure that prevents mud water or the like from intruding into a sliding part of an oil seal 10 as much as possible in a sealing device 1 for sealing a shaft circumference or the like which is a section easily exposed to the mud water or the like from the outside. <P>SOLUTION: This sealing device includes the oil seal 10 attached to an inner circumference surface of an opening end 2a of a non-rotating housing 2, a slinger 20 attached to a rotation body 5 axially outside the oil seal 10, and an outer diameter flange 11a attached to the housing 2 at a position at the outer diameter side of the oil seal 10 and deployed in the radial direction. A throttle gap G<SB>3</SB>that becomes narrower toward the outer diameter side is provided between the slinger 20 and the outer diameter flange 11a that are axially opposed with each other. The slinger 20 includes an outer circumferential lip 23 that is slidably brought into close contact with an outer peripheral face of a cylinder part 11c formed on a reinforcing ring 11 of the oil seal 10 or a cylinder part 11b formed on the outer diameter flange 11a, and in which the fastening margin is reduced by centrifugal force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
