<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination unit for a vehicle which does not emit light from an LED in an unexpected direction and has no unevenness on an irradiation surface in the illumination unit for the vehicle of such a type that the LED is mounted to a substrate to guide light up to an irradiation hole by a prism. <P>SOLUTION: The prism equipped illumination unit 10 for the vehicle includes the substrate 20 mounted with a light-emitting component 20L, a resin-made prism 30 disposed closely immediately below the light-emitting component 20L, and an outer housing 40 which is mounted with the substrate 20 and the prism 30 and has an opening 40K through which light from the prism 30 passes. The thickness of a remaining cylindrical portion 30R except for a cylindrical portion 30C in the vicinity of a tip at the opening 40K side of the prism 30 is added by only an a-dimension, and thickened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
