PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a lockup area of an automatic transmission having a torque converter. SOLUTION: When a drive shaft is changed in an operation state shown in (a), the torque of a prescribed level T1 exceeding a cylinder generation level T0 is transmitted to the drive shaft when gear switching is finished (t3) by the torque converter as shown in (c). The torque is released at the lockup completion timing of a time t4, and by generating reversal phase torque as shown in (e) instead of imparting excitation torque to a drive system, a gear shift shock is reduced. Furthermore, the generation timing of the reversal phase torque is changed by the natural frequency of the drive system. For example, in the case of a fourth speed, a vibration cycle is W4 and a time is t5, and in the case of a third speed, the vibration cycle is a long vibration cycle W3 and a time is t5'. Thereby, reversal phase torque can be matched to a peak of vibration, and the gear shift shock caused by lockup can be appropriately reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
