<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens having high optical performance, though it is made compact and is inexpensive. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging lens comprises, in order from an object side, a meniscus first lens having a convex surface directed toward the object side and having positive power, a biconcave second lens having negative power, a meniscus third lens having a convex surface directed toward an image side and having positive power, and a meniscus fourth lens having a convex surface directed toward the object side and having positive power. The imaging lens satisfies following conditional expression (1): 0.00<f/R2<0.13 (1), where f is the focal length of the entire system and R2 is the curvature radius of the surface on the image side of the meniscus first lens.
