Disclosed is a novel means for accelerating the time of flowering of a rose family fruit tree such as an apple and a pear by inoculating, by means of a particle gun technique, viral RNA to a cotyledon of a seedling of the rose family fruit tree which is obtained immediately after rooting, wherein the viral RNA is concentrated from a proliferated host that has been infected by a recombinant apple latent spherical virus (FT-ALSV) capable of expressing an Arabidopsis FT gene.
