The light-weight compatible concrete or self-compacting concrete for the production of steel-reinforced railway sleeper, comprises portions of cement (450-550 kg/m 3>), water (135-220 kg/m 3>), sand (840-940 kg/m 3>) with a grain size of 0-4 mm, fine-grained rock particles (680-780 kg/m 3>) with a grain size of 8-16 mm, coarse-grained rock particles (400-500 kg/m 3>) with a grain size of 16-22 mm, filling material (20-120 kg/m 3>) and flux material (4.5-5.5 kg/m 3>). The ratio of the mass of the water portion to the cement portion in the processing condition is less than 0.4. The light-weight compatible concrete or self-compacting concrete for the production of steel-reinforced railway sleeper, comprises portions of cement (450-550 kg/m 3>), water (135-220 kg/m 3>), sand (840-940 kg/m 3>) with a grain size of 0-4 mm, fine-grained rock particles (680-780 kg/m 3>) with a grain size of 8-16 mm, coarse-grained rock particles (400-500 kg/m 3>) with a grain size of 16-22 mm, filling material (20-120 kg/m 3>) and flux material (4.5-5.5 kg/m 3>). The cement in the concrete is standard cement according to DIN EN 197 with high initial strength with one of the strength classes of CEM I 52.5 R. The filling material is fly ash, silica, trass or rock flour. The concrete has a powdered grain content of 550 kg/m 3>. Independent claims are included for: (1) steel-reinforced railway sleeper made of light-weight compatible concrete or self-compacting concrete; and (2) a method for the production of light-weight compatible concrete or self-compacting concrete.
