PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to form corrugation on the surface of a metal strip by passing the metal strip through a lower embossing roll and an upper urethane roll. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for forming corrugation on the surface of a metal strip comprises a body part, a molding part(20), and a controller(30). The body part forms a supporting structure. The molding part comprises a lower embossing roll with a corrugated exterior, an upper urethane roll arranged above the lower embossing roll, an electric motor(26) rotating the lower embossing roll, and a press(28) which moves the upper urethane roll up and down and presses the upper urethane roll against the lower embossing roll. The controller controls the electric motor and the press.
