<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive heating device having superior maintainability by facilitating fine adjustment of a distance between an induction heating coil and a heat roller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heating device has a coil position adjusting mechanism 70 for finely adjusting a coil holder 71 holding the induction heating coil 27 relative to the heat roller 22. A resistance detector 90 for detecting a resistance value of an excitation circuit including the induction heating coil 27 is connected to the excitation circuit, and a CPU 52 decides an adjusting direction and an adjusting amount according to the detected resistance value of the induction heating coil 27.
