<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermostat device capable of properly controlling the temperature of cooling water over the whole area of an operation area of an engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This thermostat device is constituted so as to regulate a flow rate of the cooling water flowing in a mixing passage 14 from a heat moving device introducing passage 15 in response to opening of a control valve 30, by a flow rate switching mechanism 35 having a communicating passage 19 for communicating a radiator introducing passage 18 with the heat moving device introducing passage 15, a differential pressure regulating valve 36 arranged in the communicating passage 19 and moving by differential pressure between first water pressure in the radiator introducing passage 18 and second water pressure in the heat moving device introducing passage 15, a spring 38 energizing the differential pressure regulating valve 36 toward the radiator introducing passage 18 from the heat moving device introducing passage 15 and a regulating valve 39 integrally moving with the differential pressure regulating valve 36 and regulating a water quantity of the cooling water passing through the heat moving device introducing passage 15 in response to a position of the differential pressure regulating valve 36.
