<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a gas turbine engine capable of promptly suppressing surging. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control device of a gas turbine engine for causing air of which flow rate has been adjusted by performing angular control on a variable inlet guide vane provided in an inlet flow path of a compressor, to flow into the compressor, causing air compressed by the compressor to flow into a combustor, thereby causing a turbine to rotate by combustion gas in the combustor, wherein angle holding of the variable inlet guide vane is released, in a case where surging occurs in the compressor.
