<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the service life of a suction filter by backwashing in the same system by circularly using compressor discharging air for backwashing of the filter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The atmosphere is sucked in upon on-load of a compressor 3, and is compressed up to a predetermined pressure by the compressor 3 after removing dust-dirt and foreign matter by the suction filter 1, and compressed air is cooled by a cooler 4, and is sent to a factory. When a load of the compressed air reduces in the factory, it is switched to a non-load state, and when the compressor is switched to unloading of a non-load from the on-load of a compression load, a suction side control valve 2 closes from opening, and a delivery pipe control valve 8 of a delivery side pipe becomes open from closing, and air of the compressor 3 is discharged into the atmosphere for releasing residual pressure of a body, but a discharge pipe 7 branched off after the cooler 4 and a secondary side pipe 10 having the suction filter 1 are connected by the discharge pipe 7, and the end of the discharge pipe 7 is blocked up by a steel plate 14, and the suction filter 1 is back-washed by circularly using the discharge air to the atmosphere 9.
