<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound that stimulates a rate of glucose oxidation in myocardial cells. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (I). A pharmaceutical composition to stimulate glucose oxidation is obtained from the compound. Using the composition or a kit including the composition, the rate of glucose oxidation is enhanced to treat myocardial ischemia.
