<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure chamber type collision detection device for a vehicle, capable of obtaining a specified pressure against a same magnitude of impact in the vehicle width direction of the entire part of a vehicle bumper and securing the responsiveness of the pressure detection and the deformed amount of a chamber member. <P>SOLUTION: In a chamber member 7 which is disposed on the front surface of a bumper reinforcement 4 in the vehicle bumper and has a chamber body 71 forming a chamber space therein, a chamber body 71 is formed in a specified cross sectional shape all over in the vehicle width direction. An absorber member 6 includes a spacer part 62 which is provided between the rear surface of a bumper cover 3 and the front surface of the chamber member 7 above an absorber body 61 and absorbs impact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
