<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cruise while stably driving an engine even when abnormality caused by open sticking of an EGR valve is determined. <P>SOLUTION: When abnormality caused by open sticking by catching a foreign object in the EGR valve is determined (step S100), an operation of three cylinders of a bank to which an EGR tube is communicated is made halted (S120), then an engine is controlled so that the engine is operated at an operation point in which target rotation number and target torque are set to be within previously set upper limit rotation number relating to the rotation number and the torque to be acquired by applying an operation line which is different from the time when open sticking abnormality of the EGR valve 164 is not determined by making the rotation number and the torque being a relationship relating to an engine instruction power (step S130).
