PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing organic pigment fine particles miniaturized to the nanometer size with high efficiency and in large quantities.

SOLUTION: The method for producing organic pigment nanoparticles has the steps of preparing a dispersion A in which the organic pigment is precipitated as fine particles, preparing a dispersion B in which a low molecular-weight organic material is precipitated as fine particles, and mixing the dispersion A with the dispersion B and then undergoing the state in which the solubility in the mixed solution of the low molecular-weight organic material is higher than that of the organic pigment.
