<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a child from being taken away or being left alone by enabling to recognize the location of a child and taking contact the child without having the child himself/herself or a person in charge recognize that the child is missing. <P>SOLUTION: The group member position monitoring system includes: a tag 1004 for a parent-child group holding an IC tag number; a parent-child tag group processing means 1011 for grouping the IC tag number and registering it in a parent-child information DB 1020 together with a group ID; a group position acquisition processing means 1012 for registering the IC tag number obtained by a reader 1001 for position information acquisition and the position number of the reader in a position information DB 1021; and a group position display processing means 1013 for displaying the position of the member of the same group. An alarm is issued when leaving from somewhere other than an exit gate, it is considered as normal leaving when leaving from the exit gate, and the time of leaving is registered in the DB 1020.
