PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ancillary structure on a roof floor, which can be incidentally connected to an upper section of a building unit so as to expand an indoor space upward, and which can reduce weight by the simplicity of its constitution. SOLUTION: The small-sized ancillary unit 10 on the roof floor, which is connected to the upper section of the rectangular parallelepiped-shaped building unit 1 constituting the unit building and which expands the internal space of the building unit upward, is constituted in a block shape with a rectangular bottom surface, four elevation surfaces erected from the bottom surface, and a ceiling surface, by including: four column materials 11, 11, 11A and 11A; four lower beams 12, 12, 13 and 13 for horizontally connecting lower ends of the four column materials together; and an upper high beam 14, an upper low beam 15, and upper inclined beams 16 and 16, as four upper beams for connecting upper ends of the four connecting materials together. The column material, and the lower and upper beams are made of channel steel or C-shaped steel; the two opposed elevation surfaces P2 and P3 among the four elevation surfaces are rigidly-joined ones; and the two other opposed elevation surfaces P4 and P5 are pin-joined ones.
