PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement quick setting agent which can impart quick setting force equal to that of the conventional one under low addition, and further can reduce shrinkage as well. SOLUTION: (1) The cement quick setting agent comprises lithium-containing hectorite and calcium aluminate having a chemical composition composed of 38 to 60 mass% CaO and 40 to 62 mass% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. (2) The cement quick setting agent comprises gypsum. (3) The cement quick setting agent comprises one or more kinds selected from a carbonate, aluminate and silicate of alkali metals.
