PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that generates an image signal for properly displaying an image around an vehicle. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 30 has: a storage 110 that stores predetermined spacial position definition information that defines a region of a predetermined space on an imaged image with a reference of a position of a part of a vehicle in the imaged image obtained by imaging an imaging space including the predetermined space that includes the part of the vehicle; a specifying part 120 that specifies the position of the part of the vehicle on the imaged image; an extracting part 130 that extracts an image part indicating the predetermined space from the imaged image based on the predetermined spacial position definition information stored in the storage 110 and the position of the part of the vehicle on the imaged image predetermined by the specifying part 120; and a generating part 140 that generates an image signal for displaying the image part extracted by the extracting part 130 on a display apparatus 50.
