PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blocking plate for gas piping capable of preventing gas stagnation during maintenance. SOLUTION: The blocking plate 1 is provided by forming a gas discharge part 1a extending from the inner side to the outer periphery on one plate surface. The blocking plate 1 is held between flanges of gas piping so that the plate surface on which the gas discharge part 1a is formed faces an outflow side of the gas piping. The flange at an inflow side of the gas piping is attached tightly to an adhering surface 1b of the blocking plate 1, so that gas leakage can be prevented. Also, since a flow passage is formed between the flange on the outflow side of the gas piping and the gas discharge part 1a and the gas remaining on the outflow side of the gas piping is delivered in the flow passage to be discharged to the outside, gas stagnation can be prevented.
