PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary washing toilet seat which can simplify its configuration by effectively suppressing increase of manufacturing processes and the number of member items due to the installation of a seating sensor, and can increase a degree of freedom of position at which the seating sensor is installed. SOLUTION: The seating sensor 10a comprises an antenna electrode whose electrical capacitance changes when the human body comes close to the electrode, and a detection IC for detecting the change of the electrical capacitance in the antenna electrode, and, preferably, the antenna electrode and the detection IC are integrated on a support substrate. The seating sensor 10a is mounted at a position which is located inside a sanitary washing toilet seat body 51, and located above the sitting surface of the toilet seat 53 when the toilet seat 53 is closed, for example, on the upper part of a washing unit 61 or on the inside of a casing 57 in the upper part of the body 51.
