PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the error of grayscale caused by fluctuation of emission light from a light source device. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 324 is driven by voltage application. A display driving circuit 35 applies either on-voltage or off-voltage on the liquid crystal device 324 in each of a plurality of sub-fields SF in each field F, according to a grayscale data GA. The light source device 22 emits light on the liquid crystal device 324. A light source-driving circuit 60 drives the light source device 22 so that fluctuation of intensity of emitting light from the light source device 22 may be synchronized with the field F.
