PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a multistage turbo compressor, by widening the range of stable operation without causing complication of the configuration, upsizing of the device configuration, and weight increase. SOLUTION: In the multi-stage turbo compressor in which a plurality of impellers 1, 2, 3 of multistage are connected in series, torque is input to the impeller 2 of intermediate stage, torque is transmitted to the impeller 1 of pre-stage and the rear impeller 3 of post-stage from the impeller 2 of intermediate stage through an differential mechanism 4 for distributing power, and the impeller 1 of pre-stage and the impeller 3 of post-stage are coupled together so that revolving speeds of them are increased or decreased oppositely.
