PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the execution of efficient processing by avoiding the increase in communication traffic amount and processing load of a data collection node in a system wherein the data collection node collects data to perform prescribed processing. SOLUTION: A terminal device 10 includes: a data acquisition part 11 for acquiring data; a transmission necessity determination part 12 which determines whether or not acquired data has been updated and determines whether or not information relating to updating of data should be transmitted to the data collection node on the basis of the determination result; a data transmission part 13 which transmits information relating to updating of data and the like to the data collection node in response to determining that it should be transmitted; and a cache data preservation part 14 which preserves acquired data, information relating to updating of the data and the like. The transmission necessity determination part 12 compares an update time of preserved preceding data with that of acquired current data, and determines whether or not the current data has been updated on the basis of the comparison result.
