<p>A communication system (100) includes multiple child-side node devices (110) each comprising a communication port and a parent-side node device (120) comprising multiple communication ports. The communication system is configured in such a manner that the child-side node device and the parent-side node device can communicate with each other by connecting the communication port of the child-side node device and the communication port of the parent-side node device. The child-side node device transmits child-side port position specifying information for specifying the position of the communication port via the communication port of the child-side node device. When receiving the child-side port position specifying information via one communication port among the multiple communication ports of the parent-side node device, the parent-side node device associates and stores parent-side port identifying information for identifying the communication port and the received child-side port position specifying information.</p> |
