The element (1) has a stepping element (7) forming a stepping surface (8) that covers the element upwards, in a standing place position. A supporting construction is provided with a fixing stand (9), which is designed as a foldable or swiveling stand, which is utilized for fixing the seat element on stage surface (3). The seat element is brought from a seating place position into a standing place position via lateral or swiveling movement of the stand running in a longitudinal extension direction of the stage surface and transverse to a seating direction of a seat user. An independent claim is also included for a grandstand that comprises grandstand steps.
