PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing extract of Lepidium sativum or white pine for skin whitening is provided to suppress melanogenesis by alpha-MSH(Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone) and to ensure antioxidation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains 0.001-10.0 weight% of Lepidium sativum extract as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains 0.001-10.0 weight% of white pine extract as an active ingredient. The weight ratio of Lepidium sativum extract and white pine is 1:1.
