PANEL FOR SURFACE-EMISSION CONSTRUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for surface-emission construction, having the function of retaining an ornamental element and the function of emitting light.

SOLUTION: The panel for surface-emission construction includes: a transparent light guide plate 6 which causes light incident from an end face to emit from its front to emit light as a surface; a light source 7 which applies light to the end face of the light guide plate 6; and an ornament element retaining unit provided behind the light guide plate 6 for retaining a surface ornamental element 5 approximately parallel to the back face of the light guide plate 6. The ornamental element 5 stored in the ornamental element retaining unit is prevented from being seen via the light guide plate 6 when the light guide plate 6 emits light.
