<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor assist turbocharger capable of restraining overshoot of an engine speed as well, while shortening a turbo-lag in acceleration or deceleration. <P>SOLUTION: A turbocharger 1, in one example, has an intake turbine 200 and an exhaust compressor 400, and drives the intake turbine 200 by intake negative pressure of an engine 8.
