PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such as the upsizing of a device, the increase of consuming power, the generation of noise and he like caused by installing an air current generating means such as a fan or the like for sucking or exhausting ink mist in the device. SOLUTION: In an image forming device, under the condition that an ink mist recovering mechanism 50 has an elastically deformable mist recovering part 51, in which a suction port 53 for sucking the mist in an interior space 52 and an exhaust port 54 for exhausting the mist from the interior space 52 are formed and, in addition, has a space 52 therein, the wall surface 52a deflects towards the interior side and the mist recovering part 51 shrinks by thrusting the wall surface 52a with the thrusting part 55 of a carriage 25 and their original states through the separation of carriage 25 therefrom.
