<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent seizure in a sliding part between a cylinder 21 and a plunger 30. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fuel supply device is characterized by arranging a conical part 30c gradually diametrically contracting toward a small diameter part 30b from a large diameter part 30a, between the driving side large diameter part 30a and the pressurizing chamber 31 side small diameter part 30b of the plunger 30. The pressurizing chamber 31 side small diameter part 30b of the plunger 30 is occasionally formed by being used as a gripping part when applying abrasion resistant coating to an outer peripheral surface of the plunger 30, and has the effect as well of improving efficiency when forcibly feeding fuel by forming this small diameter part 30b in a pressurizing side tip part. Thus, seizure resistance can be improved by reducing pressing action force by generating centering force by this conical part 30c by forming the conical part 30c between its small diameter part 30b and the driving side large diameter part 30a after forming such a small diameter part 30b.
