PURPOSE: An Image processing apparatus, information processing system, a control method thereof and a storage medium are provided to enhance the usability of the image processing apparatus by removing the necessity for a complicated user operation before scanning. CONSTITUTION: Discrimination information items of an information processing device and scanning setting names are received from the information processing devices. A user confirms one discrimination information item from the discrimination information items displayed on the display unit(S904). The scan setting name transmitted from information processing device related to the confirmed discrimination information item is displayed on the display unit. The user confirms the scan setting name from the displayed scan setting names(S907). Scanning instruction is transmitted to an information processing apparatus related to the confirmed discrimination information item(S909).
