PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensitive sensor having high determination accuracy and an occupant detection device using the same. SOLUTION: In this pressure sensitive sensor 1 including a pair of counter electrodes 11A, 11B arranged oppositely at a prescribed interval, the pair of counter electrodes are brought into contact with each other by an input load, to thereby show a resistance value corresponding to the input load. The pair of counter electrodes include a pair of first contacts 13A, 13B to be brought into mutual contact by the input load, and second contacts 14A, 14B to be brought into mutual contact by the input load, and having a resistance value different from the resistance value of the first contacts.
