<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional external light correction system, wherein a light from the back surface of a display device cannot be measured accurately, because of the adaptation of the eyes of an observer. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a display 100, which is arranged on a front surface of the display device and serves as a display surface displaying images; an illuminance sensor 2, where the illuminance sensor 2 is arranged on the rear surface of the display device and serves as a first measurement means measuring illuminance on the rear surface; and a control means 101, serving as a first control means controlling the luminance of the images displayed on the display 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
