<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method and laser welding equipment which, in laser-welding two planar metallic plates having a gap caused between the opposing faces in a vertically superimposed state, prevents a width from becoming narrower for example toward the lower side in a part connecting the gap portion in the bead and which can make the joining stabilized with the lower metallic plate. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding method includes: a welding process for joining an upper and lower metallic plates; a heat distribution state detecting process for detecting the heat distribution state in a lower part under a molten pool in the lower face of the lower metallic plate during the welding process; a heat-affected part width detecting process for detecting, on the basis of the heat distribution state data detected in the preceding process, the width LC2 of a heat affected part WC2 in which a metallic texture change is caused along the welding route by the heat of the molten metal in the lower metallic plate; and an adjusting process for adjusting a laser output (a parameter concerning a laser beam) so that the width LC2 of the heat affected part WC2 detected in the preceding process becomes a prescribed width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
