<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device and a control method for an electric appliance. <P>SOLUTION: The operating device for an electrical appliance has a control panel and an operating element for rotary actuation arranged thereon and a controller wherein the operating element is mounted to a receptacle arranged behind the control panel and comprises, on its front, a touch sensitive switch with a sensor element which is connected electrically to the controller. The operating device comprises a retraction device for retracting the operating element into its recessed position in the receptacle by pressing. The retraction device is configured in such a way that the knob can only be retracted into its recessed position in a single retraction rotational position so as to deactivate the touch sensitive switch by the controller in this retraction rotational position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
