SOLUTION: There are provided a collagen production promoting agent containing an essential oil obtained by extracting Roman chamomile (scientific name: Anthemis nobilis) by steam distillation as an active component and having collagen production promoting action; and a collagen production promoting method to use the collagen production promoting agent.
