SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotor 1 includes a rotary shaft 2, a plurality of substantially sector-like iron cores 30 made of a ferromagnetic material and disposed equally spaced in the circumferential direction on the outer circumference of the rotary shaft 2, and a plurality of permanent magnet pieces 4 disposed between the iron cores 30 so that the permanent magnetic pieces and the iron core pieces 30 are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction. The permanent magnet pieces 4 are disposed so that the surface opposing an adjacently disposed permanent magnet piece 4 may have the same polarity, and the orientation direction line of the permanent magnet piece 4 is a convex curve in the rotary shaft direction of the permanent magnet type rotor 1.
