PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a surface protective film which is excellent in balance between transparency and blocking resistance and further has excellent impact strength. SOLUTION: The substrate for the surface protective film is obtained using a metallocene catalyst and contains (A) a polypropylene homopolymer satisfying following requirements (1)-(5) as an essential ingredient. (1) an MFR is in the range of 1.0-30 g/10 min. (2) a melting point measured by DSC is≥155°C. (3) a molecular weight distribution index (Mw/Mn) measured by GPC is≤3.5. (4) a meso triad fraction measured by13C-NMR is 97.0-99.9%. (5) an integrated eluted quantity till 90°C in a CFC method is≤1%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
