<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce jaggy in a step-like change portion (slant edge portion) of an optional color included in a printed image without changing a tone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image processor which determines formation states of dots when an image is printed using the dots with a plurality of sizes includes: a step-like change determination section which determines pixels forming the step-like change portion (slant edge portion) in the image; and a dot size exchange processing section which exchanges pieces of dot size data after halftone processing between the surrounding pixels of the step-like change portion and its nearby pixels for reduction of the jaggy in the step-like change portion.
