The gauge has a U-shaped profile piece including a fixedly connected bar, which serves as an extracting support at a lawn edging and a curb stone edge. A pressure plate is arranged within the profile piece and fixedly connected with a perpendicularly arranged guide bar, which is laterally led through a circular opening in the profile piece. Two wing screws are arranged above and below the circular opening in the profile piece and press the pressure plate at a mounted leveling board. The gauge is made of metal or hard plastic.
