The method involves detecting measuring data on paths (4) in a measuring field (3) with place information. Movement and/or a position of a surface is detected by two linear-independent detecting units, and an equidistant data record is calculated by using adjacent points on the surface. Criteria for measuring accuracy of the data are examined during computation of a database.
