The assembly has cutting blades extending along a blade axis (4) and including cutting teeth (2), which extend along respective tooth axes. A portion of the teeth is configured as protective tooth (7), which includes a cutting edge (12) on a cutting side (10) and includes a holding edge (13) on an opposite holding side (11). A protective finger (9) includes a forward edge (14) on the cutting side and a rearward edge (15) on the holding side. The forward edge is inclined towards one of the tooth axes (5). The rearward edge is inclined away from one of the tooth axes (5).
