Pivoting stop for items grouped on a support surface

The limiting bar (28) has movable slides limiting three sides of a support table. The table includes a sliding point for a height- and/or position-adjustable handling device e.g. jalousie gripper head, at a fourth side. The limiting bar is pivotable between two end positions around a pivot axis (30), which is provided parallel to the support table. The limiting bar forms a stop bar in one of the end positions, where the stop bar lies opposite to the slides moving in a direction of the sliding point. A control device (32) e.g. linear motor (34), allows pivot movement of the bar.
