<p>The device (100) has an electron gun assembly (10) for producing an electron beam bundle (12) to sterilize a container (30). A focusing device (20) e.g. permanent magnet and externally-induced electromagnet, focuses the electron beam bundle such that the electron beam bundle enters the container in a focused state through a container opening (32). A conveying device (40) conveys the container. The container is movable parallel to a longitudinal axis (14) of the electron gun assembly. An independent claim is also included for a method for sterilizing a container.</p> |
